EBSCO Sign Group (ESG), a division of EBSCO Industries, is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator located in Clanton, Alabama.¬  The Human Resources Coordinator is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resources function at the Clanton manufacturing location reporting in the HR Director. The HR Coordinator assists in the coordination of HR initiatives, projects, and the employment process including interpreting company policies and procedures, EEO/AAP, staffing, benefits and employee relations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Establishes partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees.

  • Communicates needs proactively with Corporate HR department, helps identify and implement solutions.

  • Develops and administers HR plans and procedures across the company, to include benefits counseling, managing the recruitment process & onboarding of new personnel, and overseeing payroll functions.

  • Provides day to day performance management guidance to management (coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions).

  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation, communicates policy changes to managers and employees.

  • Consults with managers/supervisors to ensure accuracy on setups for new hires, employee status changes and pay changes.

  • Provides outstanding customer service to all EBSCO employees.

  • Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines, experience with HR-related regulations (FLSA, ADA, EEO, FMLA)

  • Ability to develop strong relationships to gain support and achieve results

  • Ability to manage multiple, competing projects and prioritize effectively

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve conflict.¬  Maintains a customer service orientation

  • Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds).

  • Tasks involve extended periods of time at a computer or equivalent work station.


Required¬ Qualifications


  • High school diploma and 3 - 5 years' experience in Human Resources OR college degree and 2 years' experience in Human Resources; HR experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred

  • 2 years' experience with Microsoft Office


Preferred Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management with a concentration in Human Resources

  • PHR Certification

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
